MARCH 5TH 2022

Krewe Du Pooch, now in its third year, was founded by the Old Mandeville Business Association and the City of Mandeville as a way to support local businesses and animal rescue organizations. Our 2022 walking parade and costume contest will take place on the Mandeville Lakefront on Saturday, March 5 with the theme, "A Fairy Tail by Krewe du Pooch!"

PLEASE SUPPORT our local rescue organizations by registering to participate in our parade, or by visiting them on site at the event! Check out our Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up with us and our partner organizations!

By registering your dog(s) for Krewe du Pooch 2022, you acknowledge and agree to the event rules and regulations as follows:

Registration for the walking parade requires a $35 donation per pooch, and each pooch is allowed up to 5 human handlers. Additional handlers will be charged $10 per person.

As this is a walking parade, motorized or "riding" floats WILL NOT BE PERMITTED (golf carts, bikes, skateboards, etc.). To keep our parade safe for participants and their pooches, any floats must be pushed or pulled by handlers (shopping carts, strollers, wagons, etc.). Music is permitted as part of your float as well.

Parade participants and their pooches must dress to this year's theme, "A Fairy Tail by Krewe Du Pooch" to be considered for the costume contest.

All animals must be on a leash - both those in the parade and those on site.

Aggressive animals or animals in heat will not be permitted to participate in the event.

Parade throws are encouraged; please see our branded bag we've put together for purchase.  Please bring plenty! But please no candy or chocolate, as it can harm the animals.

If you are throwing branded promotional items for your business, you must register as a "Walking Sponsor." Please see our sponsorship page for details.  Handlers are responsible for picking up their pooch's poop! Please be sure to bring bags for this purpose.

Political, inappropriate or controversial/negative displays will not be permitted in the parade.

No noise makers such as confetti canons that create a pop or a boom will be permitted.

Pooches must be up to date on all their shots.
